Bare Legs + Irish Setter = No good

5K run, Done.
After eating a zillion and one pieces of chocolate beforehand. Saying that, I did just burn my cream eggs off, and that I am proud of :) I kept a reasonable pace throughout yayy!! Kinda upped my game today.

Yesterday however, was silly. 4 miles with a really tense shoulder- not fun. :( Few stops here and there- increased speed does not exactly shout 'productive training'. Bad times...
2 hours later, I did some small easy intervals to ease the pain, and I think it cleared away. At least it doesnt hurt today :)

On that note, Its about the pain, cos its gonna get damn harder over the next few weeks, and pain = effort, pain = good.

6.75 Miles

Hello!
Oh my god! That was tough training. My dad is a long distance runner- he's pretty good. So yeah he took me out on a run, really hard. Did intervals. 1/3 of a mile really fast round a grass track, 1/3 of a mile walking - with a 2.5 mile run there and back. My dad said that pain is good, and that you can only get better if there is pain. Regardless if I wanna just lay on the ground and watch the clouds lol. So anyway, as I did it, it did get easier.
6.75 Miles with walking in 1 hour 20 is a pretty good first start- considering thats the furtherest I've ever ran in my life. I know its going to get harder, but I'm determined to be running 10 minute miles soon, and hopefully I'll be able to run the Sheffield Half Marathon in 2 hours 30 :)

3 Miles tomorrow. Lets get running!

Little Things

So okay, Im Training to do the Sheffield Half Marathon- what a silly idea that was.

On other topics, Life is going good. I'm learning more about myself, not nessesarily traits that I like, nor dislike.

Erm... Dance.. yeah. The best thing to happen to me in a while. I think. :)

Just gotta keep smiling, find some motivation and get going.
